MEET ERIC CLEMONS

Branch President

Clemons, a native of Chicago, IL moved to CT to continue his TV Sports career with ESPN back in the 1980’s and has been a resident of the Bristol area for most of his life since then. Clemons has made several stops during his TV career, including Fox NFL Sunday, Fox Sports Net, BET, ESPN University and WFSB-TV along with WTIC-TV in Hartford. He also has worked in Mobile, AL, Boston, MA and New Orleans, LA. He currently is a freelance reporter-anchor and host for Comcast NBC, and CPTV, along with being an independent documentary producer and published author. As President of the Greater Bristol Branch, he wants to continue the NAACP’s outreach into the communities we serve, with the goal of expanding membership and increasing involvement of our young citizens saying, “I want people of all ages to know that you have a chance to make a difference in your communities by coming together and lifting your voices and organizing to be heard and affect change. The NAACP is one of the organizations by which you can achieve that aim and ensure justice is served where you live.” Clemons lives in Bristol with his wife Renita. They have 2 adult children.
